The Many Haha's Laughter Yoga Club of Buffalo began in 2007 and meets weekly for hour-long sessions. Using stretches, yogic breathing techniques, laughter exercises, chanting, and meditation the club aims to achieve easy aerobic exercise and relaxation.
Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome to join the club. Our meeting area is wheelchair accessible.
The club participates in World Laughter Day (always the first Sunday of May) in different venues around Buffalo welcoming all comers and introducing Laughter Yoga to western New York.
No special clothing or equipment is required. What is necessary is a willingness to laugh. Come and try Laughter Yoga!
Laughter Yoga
Laughter Yoga is an easy way to exercise, meditate and celebrate joy/life Simple stretching, chanting, yogic breathing techniques, laughter exercises, and meditation provide a quick and painless way to promote joy and good health. Dr. Madan and Mrs. Maduri Kataria developed Laughter Yoga in Mumbai India in 1995. Today there are over 60000 clubs worldwide meeting regularly. Laughter Yoga is suitable for all ages and all abilities. It is used in schools, businesses, elder centers, recreational programs, treatment programs for cancer and other diseases, and prisons. Laughter Yoga is preferably done in a group setting, but it can be done successfully alone or communicating with others via the telephone or computer.
